How many times have you thought about what you might do if you won the lottery? Many people say they’d quit their job or sell their business and never work again. And then, there’s the true entrepreneurs who might make changes, but it wouldn’t include abandoning their dream of business ownership. One of my clients did win the lottery, $1,000 a day for life!
He doesn’t NEED to work another day in his life. So why does he and why does he need a coach like me? He WANTS (versus NEEDS) to work and he wants to work smart and wants to make a difference. I’m currently helping him evaluate the right methods for manufacturing and marketing a device that has both consumer and commercial applications.
But now that money is not his key motivator, he wants to explore a channel that would get his device into the hands of impoverished and otherwise needy people. So while money drives so many, think about what drives you.
Since the time you decided to be your own boss, you might have forgotten some of the reasons, besides the financial part. It may be time to dig deep and get back on track.
